UC Flare and the Flu?

Broad question, but sure it comes up.

I started 6MP at 50mg daily and started getting flu like symptoms about 48 hours after starting. I stopped taking it after 3 days and the flu symptoms are still present, but also my flare has picked up a little bit with me going more and more urgency.

is the flu something that can make flare symptoms worse? if so, i'm guessing things should return to my norm for this flare once the virus is out of my system? i guess it's a good thing that it probably isn't a poor reaction to the 6mp, but still can be a pain as i'm sure most people here know full well.

I never get the flu, but I've also spent little time on drugs like 6mp that weaken your immune system.

I started 6mp on Thursday night and it took it Friday & Saturday night. Saturday morning I had nausea at like 3am and had a fever, headache, muscle aches, & tired on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday morning at 3am I was vomiting for about an hour. I havent taken 6mp since Saturday night, but I've had a headache, body aches, & tired both today and yesterday.

Thanks iPoop, I'm hoping it is the flu, as crazy as that sounds. I dont want it to be a reaction to the 6mp which would probably mean I have to come off of it. Doctor wants to wait until I clear up before I start the 6mp again.
