I found this picture and message I thought you could relate with UC and/or with pains when talking to acquaintances.
"I'm Fine" For the Chronically Ill
I'm having a good pain day.
I'm pretending to feel fine to help myself cope better.
I'm straight up lying, I feel horrible but explaining it doesn't benefit you or me.
I don't feel well but explaining it tires me.
I don't want to be seen as complaining.

LOL Plus, it does no good to complain about
it...unless ya have it, it's hard to understand. Enjoy a little out of every day and enjoy the good days ALL day!

Especially tiring to explain how it doesn’t just go away like a stomach bug!! Very annoying when people say “you don’t look sick” made me want to carry around my colonoscopy pictures with me 😂

Mak -- when people say "you don't look sick" I want to invite them into the bathroom with me!
One of my coworkers today didn't want to let me sit on the aisle during an event because she always has to get up and pee, even though she knows I have UC (I had been sick and trying to find a diagnosis for a year, so some of my coworkers know). She said I seemed to be doing better. Finally, I just looked at her and said, "I legit will have 30 seconds between the time my stomach rumbles and the time I need to be at a toilet or I will poo all over myself. Do not make me climb over everyone." This worked.

Omg yes 😂😂 or whenever you’re in the car for a while and ask to stop at a gas station and someone says “can’t you hold it” no I physically can not hold it so unless you want poop all over your interior you may want to stop! That definitely works too haha.

I was super nervous to go, (flying ect while going 10x a day) but I just got back from CA where I was visiting my best friend. Atlanta airport is huge, so I requested wheel chair assistance. On the return trip, I overheard someone go off about
me getting out of the wheel chair when it was time to get my bags. People just don't get invisible illness.

Spring -- I do a 1.5 hour commute each way on public transportation twice a week. Sometimes the movement makes me nauseous, or I am experiencing a lot of cramps, so I will request someone let me sit down, and the looks! OR when I feel this way and I refuse to get up for someone and tell them I'm sick (I'm in my early 30's and look healthy). I always stand if someone else needs the seat and I feel fine, but I could do without the looks and comments on those other days. People don't get it.
