I received the email below and the initial clinical trials were promising for this drug. I am not from Canada so I am sharing.
We have very exciting news to share. Qu Biologics' has received Health Canada approval to begin our second phase 2 clinical trial for adults with moderate to severe Crohn's disease. We will soon be ready to accept our first participant for enrolment!
Although the 20-patient first stage of the study is open to Canadian residents only, we'd like to ask that you share this news with anyone you might know who lives in Canada and might qualify. After the 20-patient stage of the study is complete, a funding dependent 150-patient second stage of the study is planned to expand into the US and possibly Europe. If you know of any websites, blogs or patient advocacy organizations that we should connect with to get the word out about our trial to Canadian residents, please let me know.
We are actively recruiting Canadians living with active Crohn's disease for the 20-patient study, so if you know someone who may be interested in participating but is not part of our mailing list, please have them sign up here to be added to our waiting list and a Qu team member will connect with them about the trial.
We'll add them to a 'potential participant'-specific list and make sure they are among the first to receive information on trial site locations, trial inclusion/exclusion criteria, and access to our screening questionnaire.
Best wishes,
Dr. Hal Gunn
CEO, Qu Biologics
