I know there's plenty of posts in regards to this, but all seemed pretty outdated... I'm considering purchasing generic Lialda from a Canadian pharmacy as I just lost my insurance and can't afford the outrageous price in the U.S. For those with experience purchasing from online canadian pharmacies... are they legit? Scammy? What are some good reputable ones?
Thanks!!

They're mostly legit. The risk is dependant upon the kind of medication you're looking for. If it's a really common one then it's likely to be fine. If it's rare or hard to get one, then they will always outsource to a foreign country like India, and that's when it's more iffy.
If you're comfortable posting your e-mail address, I'll write to you and give you the name of a legit one.

I've used northwestpharmacy (dot com) for years to get Salofalk tabs, canasa suppositories and salofalk enemas. I've never had any problems, but you have to pay by (electronic) check. They don't take credit cards anymore.
I live in AZ BTW.

A couple of years ago I ordered from Canadapharmacy.com. I needed Asacol for my uninsured brother. They required me to send in his prescript
ion. Much much cheaper than US script
. Was 1200 here, 250 there.

Just to give you an idea, Canasa suppositories here in the U.S. have a cash price of approx. $1100 to $1500 for 30 doses, while northwest pharmacy in Canada sells the same thing (branded salofalk there) for about
$85. It was even the same manufacturer Aptalis.
You do need a presciption from an American provider (MD, DO, NP or PA).

Yesterday, I heard that Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma, Utah, Vermont, and West Virginia are trying to provide a legal means to import en mass lower cost Canadian drugs into their states, and sell them at import cost through local hospitals and pharmacies. It passed the VT-state house and senate, and is awaiting the gov's signature. Not a done deal until they get a waiver from the feds, which is the biggest hurdle to come. Something's gotta give the prices of prescript
ions here are just insane!

One of the articles said they hoped it'd be in place by 2020, so not an instant fix by any means.

Yup. And what is really annoying is when you find out that, in general, drug companies spend way more money on advertising than research
