I've been in remission since spring 2013. I've been having mucus and normally it doesn't faze it as it goes away quickly. Just now I came from the restroom after I bled. Mucus too. I'm on azathioprine 150 mg I recently upped my dosage because I've been gaining weight. I'm 65 kg. I'm also on Wellbutrin and Zoloft. Added CCherbal and cortisone enemas. Three days ago after I had diarrhea I took some immodium. Nothing since until just now. I don't know what to do anymore. As funny as it sounds I feel like I got unstable when I upped my dosage but how can this be. I'm lost.

Sorry to hear Andrina. Unfortunately, we all do flare eventually. I'd just recommend the standard flare protocol: get a stool test for infectious causes, and contact your gasteroenteroligis asap. Best to nip-it-in-the-bud and catch it early, rather than wait until it's a 5-alarm-flare.

I hope you're not and it's just a minor blip. I know how anxious you get. It is possible that you will get through this and not have a flare. How long have you been doing the cort enemas? Can you add something to do 2x daily rectals if things don't improve? When I saw you this my heart kind of sunk because I hate to see you stressing.

I'm still not doing so well. Urgency and mucus. At least I had no more bleeding so far. I was supposed to see my GI today but my husband had an accident and I needed to go there so I missed my appointment. Surely doesn't help.

Nevermind I'm bleeding again. I should have had an appointment yesterday but we got into ab accident (only car damage nobody got hurt) but that made me miss my appointment. The next available one is in a month.

I'm starting uceris now. I will talk to my GI on the 27th and I will mentioned surgery. I will still give myself some time until some other issues are resolved and then I will make a decision.

Doesn't make sense. It was no competition. And the people are never in the chat.

Not your fault. It's a gray area. I know people mention other sites and support groups, so I don't see too much difference, but I guess "promotion" of any site, is somewhat against the rules. Posting resources, like blogs or websites, is allowed, with the intent of providing information. Once it's considered promotion with the intent of drawing users, it is deemed spam. Even in the case of advocacy for proUC causes.

They didn't say the severity. Plan is to stay on uceris and hydrocortisone enemas.

Edit: I just reviewed the report and it says mild inflammation.

I'm not getting better although I'm on uceris and hydrocortisone enemas. I don't know what to do. Also my scope showed a semi-sessile polyp and I read online that it might be pre-cancerous? Can anyone comment on that? I need some help and encouragement.

pretty sure this won't help anything, and i;m sure you've already made note of it, but Wellbutrin and Zoloft both have diarrhea as one of many side effects -

I actually didn't know about that. I have been on this combination for years without any diarrhea issues. Thank you for letting me know though.

The semi-sessile polyp shouldn't be of any concern. That is just the shape (slightly flattened).

Hope your inflammation stays mild. I think you will get it under control.
