I was diagnosed in 2004 with Crohns (via a biopsy). Then three years ago a Gastroenterologist in another city told me I have UC, not Crohns. He diagnosed me via a colonoscopy. So I really don't know what I have, but I am on meds and it's helping a bit, but I've had so much up and down in my healthcare because my husband is military and we move every few years. It's difficult to keep searching for new doctors and specialists every few years.
But now I have applied for the CPP disability - I have worked most of my life and should have applied years ago but I'm stubborn and kept working past the point I should have. I'm in constant pain and spend at least a few hours toileting every day. Often I have bowel incontinence and it's very embarrassing. Some days I am going to the toilet as often as 40 times a day. I can't sleep well when I have to get up to poop (or worse, if I don't get up and still poop!).
Has anyone here applied for the CPP Disability? I am wondering what my chances of getting it are. I tried a google search but the results were from companies trying to sell me their services for applying for CPP disability.
