I think we all have Post-Traumatic (Flare)-Stress-Disorder, after an awful flare (at least I did). It gets easier after time in a remission, your worries become less frequent and quieter. You'll have to build up your confidence again and regain trust over your bowels.

And here's your ::colon:: this faaaarrrr outside from the circle of trust. It's going to take a while to trust it again. Cheer up, laugh a little, and know it does get better
And have the courage to flush before getting up. If you aren't looking then your anxiety won't jump. I know we tend to read the toilet bowl like a fortune teller with tea leaves (probably with the same accuracy).
