Does Slippery Elm prevent absorption?

I drink 1 gram of slippery elm and 1 gram of marshmallow root in the morning first thing. Then, I take vitamins such as zinc and vitamin c, as well as supplement capsules such as colostrum, psyllium seed, soidum butyrate and okra. Slippery Elm has helped me a lot, and I believe the reason is it coats the lining of the colon thus protecting it, however I am worried it might also be preventing some of the supplement capsules from gaining full absorption by the colon.

My question: Does the slippery elm and marshmallow root, because it coats the intestines, prevent the absorption of the colostrum and pysllium seed? Should I reverse the order and try to take colostrum and psyllium seed prior to the slippery elm-marshmallow root drink (maybe an hour before or something?)?

I am pretty sure it does, although I would have to double check that. When I took slippery elm I always took it a few hours before/after anything else.
