Swollen feet and weight gain on rectal prednisone

Is it possible for rectal prednisone to get swollen feet and a big weight gain of 7lbs in one week. Of course I’m eating a lot of carbs. I’m just concerned because I also just started birth control pills a few weeks ago.

My crp was 12.5 last week on blood work.

Any sudden cravings? Birth control can certain be a factor as well...

Be careful with the swollen feet. As much as it can be a side effect of Prednisone, it can also mean you're having some form of organ damage/failure.

I'd ask your doctor. I'd guess likely not prednisone.

I think a combination of eating crazy carbs, very bad food choices yesterday being McDonald’s and Taco Bell as well as PMS. Perfect storm.
Swelling has subsided but I’m still up 7lbs from last Saturday.

One of the main complaints I have read about is weight gain as a result of various BC pills. Since you have recently started on one, this is probably the culprit. If you don't have the insert that came with them, go to Drugs.com & read about the potential side effects. As for the swollen ankles, elevating your feet higher than your heart will help alot.
