I have been taking balsalazide for 16 months (it seems to work for me) and have had a headache every day. Never had headaches before. It is not a debilitating headache but a headache none the less. Anyone else get headaches from balsalazide?

You could always try lialda/pentasa/apriso/delzicol as a test. Your gasteroenterologist might have a free 30-day sample of one you could try for a month.

Are you drinking water throughout the day? The oral 5-ASA meds can be very dehydrating, which causes headaches & other symptoms. / Old Hat (37 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)

I did not know that the drugs could be dehydrating. thanks for letting me know. I am going to try and drink more water and see if that helps. I tried Dipenten but was allergic.
