Remicade causing drug-induced lupus

Just got the test results this morning confirming that I have lupus, likely cause by Remicade. I did the last loading dose on April 11, and the lupus symptoms became pronounced after getting off prednisone 3 weeks ago. The lupus symptoms are quite debilitating, with joint and muscle pain and anemia/fatigue. So, no more Remicade. I am going to try the autoimmune diet next. I have had bad side effects from every single drug I have tried so far and am just not up for another yet, and who knows how long these lupus symptoms will last. From what I have read it could be up to six months!!

I am sorry to hear it. I had it too, and it really is debilitating. I could barely walk when my joints were aching, but sitting still was equally painful. I didn't get any relief from Remicade, in addition to having debilitating joint pain, so the decision to stop was an easy one for me. My lupus symptoms went away right after I stopped. Entyvio didn't give me the same issues, but it also didn't help me. It might be a good option for you though when you're ready.
