FMT Diet.... and can i get PREGNANT after?

Whats a standard Pre- and Post-FMT diet?
I know low residue before and then start high residue after 1st FMT.
Any other tips and suggestions to ease into it?

I have been taking VSL#3 probiotics daily. And will stop few days before FMT as advised. But can I resume probiotics after FMT? Or how long after can i resume my probiotics?

Lastly, is there a timeline as to when I can be pregnant after FMT?
Any time restriction like not within 1 month or something?

Mild proctitis, responded very well to salofalk after 3rd day suppository. No symptoms as of now. Scheduled FMT end of this month.

The only advice I can offer is to wait until you feel well before getting pregnant. Pregnancy really takes a lot out of you and I wouldn’t want to start off not feeling well. If you feel great now, then go for it. I don’t know if any restrictions regarding FMT and pregnancy.

Yes I almost need not rely on the suppositories and even my GI said I could stop. But I'd like FMT to put me in longer remission. I'm using it as a preventive means.

By the way, can I still breastfeed while doing FMT? I assume only the good stuff gets into you, and at the very low end via enema.

I agree with Charlie. You should consult with the person administering the FMT. My GI, who certainly knows more than I do because she follows the most current research (but still doesn't know a ton because it's such an unknown area) told me that FMT is not a "slam dunk". She said some people get worse from it. I've seen people here do great, and others seemingly get worse. If you're well managed, and don't necessarily even need the suppositories, I am not sure i'd be willing to accept the risks of FMT, especially with a pregnancy in the near future. If it's through a trial and it's 100% safe, monitored, and tested, then maybe, but from your symptoms, I am not sure you would be approved to enter a trial, considering the severity, and your desire to get pregnant.

proctitis isn't UP, or UC. It may be a one off that could be managed with a one time dose of antibiotics. I think I'd go further to figure out what you're dealing with. Did you have biopsies and patohology that showed proctitis? Was there any further information provided? Request the report.
