Pain 4 days after my sigmoid dilated 9mm

They did a routine sigmoidoscopy before my 3 rd surgery take down Aug 8. The doctor used a balloon to stretch and dilate my insides paperwork says they stretched me 9mm. The pain was mild the next day and it started easing off after that. I woke up last night in server pain and it was continued since then. I am taking Tylenol every 4 hours. Wondering could it be something else.

That sounds terrible. I don't remember having anything like that, but the whole procedure is difficult. I am happy you're close to being reconnected. After reconnection you will probably have ups and downs, but generally, things are easier, they were for me... I was thankful to be done with doctors and drugs. I never take anything these days. I don't spend any money or time worried about my health or accidents, or making excuses. I do go to the bathroom more times in a day than I'd like, but that's life with a jpouch. That was my life with UC too, except then, I had no control. At least now, i can get to the toilet.

Talked to my surgeon today and she said the pain in normal plus last night my
Stoma started to bleed and it was inflamed. I found out today from the surgeon that too is normal
because they went in through my stoma as well last week. She said it has to settle down on its own. I personally don’t think this kind of pain is normal or my stoma should be this inflamed. Has anyone else experience this before .
Plus she she stretched my cuff they have to go back in and do a diagnostic dye test again to make sure no leaks happened after the stretching . That has to been done ASAP before my surgery next week
I just did that test 10 days ago
So another tube up my ....

I haven't been through it but I understand feeling drained and I think you just have to stay strong and focus on the reward. I know that sounds crazy, but the reality is, you're very close, it's a few more ridiculous tests and then reconnect. trust me, it wasn't easy for me either, though I probably gloss over some of the worst parts because I block it out, but now, I have been clear of doctors and drugs for 3 years. that's a good reward...

notsosicklygirl thank you for the encouragement, I know its within reach but that is also just a bit scary. A lot of different emotions going on right now, excited about my takedown but also a bit worried about using my backdoor for the first time in 9 months. I want to get rid of my bag but I am worried about controlling my bowel movements. I am sure within a few months all my worries will be forgotten now I just have to stay focused and get through the final stage ;)
