SCD Diet - Stomach Pain

Diagnosed wth Crohn's at age 10, currently aged 13 and on SCD DIET for 5 weeks. Never had stomach pain earlier but now experiencing stomach pain for 2 hrs after breakfast since last 1 week. Is this something on SCD initial months normal situation? Guess developed gas. Any advice or remedies? Thx.

If you suspect that SCD diet and foods are causing your stomach pain, then try breaking that diet for several days and see if there is any improvement.

What were you eating for breakfast that resulted in pains?

If you've been on this diet for 5 weeks and just had the pain this past week then look at what new foods you've added that are disagreeing with your gut. My memory of SCD diet (been there done that) is that foods are phased in over time.

Parts of SCD were gut-OK for me but other foods in it were not. Pain has never been part of my UC, just occasional cramping when my gut hated something and wanted to get rid of the offender, again and again. It wasn't always the last food eaten, sometimes it was food from day before, usually insoluble fiber.

The biggest culprit for me on SCD was the yogurt. The gut pain may also be a coincidence. It is best to keep a food and symptom journal and look for recurring issues after certain foods.
