Four days into asacol bad stomach pains .
My liver enzyme normal last week , today way high! Cause of concern they said, it’s asacol, no doubt now.
I just took at dose and with the hour or half hour my stomach hurts bad. I had all the ultrasound come back normal, my white blood count and hemoglobin are normal.
I will know more tomorrow’s when I don’t take the pills.

Stop it completely.
If memory serves me correctly, mesalamine and you were never a match.
Wht is surgery not an option for you?

One reason is Mayo has muddied the waters and brought Crohn's into the picture, although other doctors have said no, it's still UC.

Horror stories of infections and blockages. I’m not home bound or anything just not 100% in any means, no accidents in a long while. Enemas are my best friend, with canasa.
Plain and simple I’m not ready.
I want truly be off gluten for 6 months. a few weeks doesn’t stop the anti inflammatory process.
I ordered Mutaflor , going to try thAt.

I'd wager you're going to ultimately need a colectomy, after reading your posts over the years. Nothing works well enough for you, and you've tried nearly everything available, yet still struggle and limp by with a compromised quality of life. NSSG didn't have accidents either, nothing but surgery worked to give her a good quality of life (so you don't have to be housebound with frequent accidents to go that route). The surgery would let you live your life post-UC, with consistency, no worries about
flares, no meds, and no doctors.

Miracles,
So you're saying that you tolerate the mesalamine enemas, but not the oral tablets? Maybe it is something besides mesalamine you are sensitive/allergic to. Perhaps you could tolerate a different formulation with a different delivery mechanism (like Colazal)?
Have you ever considered going to see Dr. Borody in Australia? He is a magician with ABX and FT. I don't think there is anyone like him in the U.S. (not sure where you live, but assuming U.S.?).

I would suggest you at least talk with a surgeon to ask questions. In truth, nothing has changed and has only gotten worse.
The more you tolerate, the more you accept it as a norm.
Gluten isn't your issue and wouldn't be causing the inflammation you have....which is IBD-UC.

I talked to a surgeon even though I had no intention of having surgery at the time. I just wanted to understand the process and learn as much as I could.
No harm having a consult. In my case, the surgeon actually gave me some good advice unrelated to surgery in regards to U.C.
