Is your surgery the 8th? I am excited for you. It's a long road, but the end is near, and the reward is a life free of drugs. I was fortunate to get away from drugs, doctors, the expenses associated with chronic illness, and the preoccupation with "what if". That to me, was a very worthwhile result. In reality, I couldn't go on the way I was forever. I'd rather go a lot, but predictably, than wear diapers - diapers would be my "if i need diapers I am having surgery" - but that's just me. I don't go a ton after anyway. At first you may go quite often though. I hope you got a handheld bidet and some protectant
