Hi guys, I am overall doing better now that my infusions are every 4 weeks. I am tapering back down on the steroids -10 mg now. Still having some bleeding and mucous. When I had my scope back in March the inflamation was mostly left sided other than the mild patchy spots. (Biopsies did not indicate Crohns). My GI feels that I probably don't have much inflammation left, and wanted me to do steroid suppositories for three weeks to hopefully heal things up in the last little area. He doesn't want me on them long because of potential thinning, ect, but he says Entyvio does better at maintaining than healing. I did my first one last night. No issues inserting or through the night. When I woke up early needing to go to the bathroom, however, I was in about 4 times as much pain as I have been the last week or month. I was on and off the toilet 5 times in an hour and a half. I would describe it as a burning type of pain in my lower abdomen and lower back with extra rectal pain. There was no blood that I could see, and while stool was soft and at times like sand, it wasn't really D. I called the doctor, and he wants me to persist if I can handle it for at least a week. Says the symptoms should subside. Anyone else experience this? Any idea why?
