Ive been diagnosed for few years with ulcerative. Not really in complete remission. Ive noticed that i hiccup a lot the past few months. Like 3 or 4 hiccups 2 times a day. Yesterday it happened 4 times always lasting a short amount of time. Anyone have any ideas? Should I get it checked?

I've never heard this with UC, so no, not UC-related. Possible you could have acid reflux, or something else going on. Crohn's can involve the esophagus, and maybe that would have an affect (not positive on that one)?

I started a bad flare last summer and also experienced an increase in hiccups.... Not sure what the cause is, but I feel it's related to my UC. My UC is currently a lot better, but still active. I still have a hiccup or two a day (mostly after finishing a meal or a visit to the restroom).

I know this may sound strange, but a nurse told me that excessive hiccuping could be a sign of cardiac problems. It has to do with the heart not pumping enough oxygen. If it continues, please see your family doctor.
