that's exciting. hopefully it's an option for more people soon. 32 is a small study, but you have to start somewhere!

yes phase-II is very preliminary. But it works in a different way than other drugs, and if it gets through phase-3 it could be good for folks not helped by current biologics.

I spoke to my GI about this. The community is very excited about it. Comes from the same family as HIV drugs and hence way different then any other biologic out there. Nice to have pill form. Always good to have as many fail safes out there is something doesn't work out with the current biologic.

Always exciting to have more options available on the horizon for those who fail current treatments. Early on, so I hope it survives the clinical trial vetting process (some do, some do not). I tried reading up on what ABX464 does, but am a bit perplexed how that helps UC patients. Anybody got any better sources that are easier to understand for its affect on UC?

Very interesting. A drug with antiretroviral characteristic, used for treating HIV, works for UC.
