Anyone try Astragalus root or extract?

Ive been reading about telomere length and such, and was semi interested in trying Astragalus root, having had good success with other Chinese herbs for my UC..

It seems there is some literature about it helping with induced colitis but also says not to be taken by those with auto-immune issues or over active immune systems. Anyone have any experience or information here?

Im doing pretty well for the first time in a long time, so don't want to rock the boat, but have heard about this for a long time and it seems to help with other things, so was wondering if anyone had experience

Whenever someone asks, "Has X been tried for UC?", the answer is almost always, yes. I did a quick forum search and turned up a few results for UC. Although most were for lyme disease.
