Another shot of Simponi / Golimumab?

Tomorrow I’m due to take week 16 shot of Simponi / Golimumab and I’m really not sure if I should.

I’ve not noticed any improvement with the drug, and if anything every time I take a shot I wonder if it is making me worse. Has anyone here experienced their symptoms worsening on Simponi which they would put down to the drug (as apposed to just the drug not working and flare up getting worse)?

Others experiences are welcome.

I was a nonresponder and it didn't make me worse, but it didn't make me better.

How long did you give it before you threw in the towel with Simponi?

If you've been on the medication for 6-8 weeks or more, and have not noticed an improvement in your symptoms then it is time to talk to your doctor about adjusting your meds. I do not suggest "not taking it." What I do suggest is calling/seeing your doctor and talking about where you're at, where you should be, and what medications and dosages you should take to get there.

I ended up getting c.diff while on Simponi. I didn’t get any improvements after the loading doses.

What other biologicals have you tried?

I didn't give it a ton of time personally. I moved on to remicade because that had more flexible dosing and my doctor wanted to see if a higher dose might help. It didn't.
