New diagnosis

I had my colonoscopy today, the doc said my colon was completely normal, the issue being in the rectum with inflammation and 3 internal hemmies. He took a few biopsies and I’ll know more soon. He believes my UC is proctitis. That makes me so thankful, it feels like remission to me though he said to continue remicade and Canasa suppositories as needed. Also to treat my hemmies at a colorectal surgeon center. I will be faithful to Gods will for me, everything is for a reason.
This will be a lifetime illness as we all understand, with our ups and downs.

Proctitis is a form of UC, just limited to the rectum. It is more of a descriptive term and not a diagnostic term. I don't see this as a new diagnosis.

Good to hear the colon tissue is looking good.
