Entyvio should eat up the whole med deducable, after which the rest of your prescriptions should be free for the balance of the year. Ideally, run the entyvio first and then the canasa second to get it free.
You can ask your doctor if he/she has any samples of canasa. Often the drug reps leave samples when they visit.
I've asked my pharmacy, Riteaid, for partial fills at times. They should be able to give you a week's worth at no cost, with the obvious understanding that when you pickup the balance that the pharmacy gets paid for all pills. Not a problem for regular customers. I'd ask yours.
Brandnamed Canasa is crazy expensive, generic rowasa should be at most $300 for a 30-day supply. You could get a week's worth of rowasa for less, I'd think. I'd ask your pharmacy.
I had heard there was a generic canasa available (FDA approved Dec 2018), and you could ask if that is fillable at your pharmacy and any cheaper. It's made my Mylan pharmaceuticals, Mesalamine 1,000mg Rectal Suppository with an NDC code of 0378-9230-93. Mention this NDC number to your pharmacy and they should be able to look it up for availability and whether it can be special-ordered (likely not an in-stock item).
