UK recommendations for excellent IBD Hospital care

I’m currently under a consultant at Preston hospital, who I believe has an interest in gastro, but who is not a gastro specialist. I’ve had an ongoing flare up for the best part of 18 months and I feel that I’ve gone as far as I can with the care they are offering me. So in short can any UK sufferers recommend a hospital private or public which they highly recommend, ideally in the North West of England please?

I don't know the northwest particularly but my sister in the uk with crohns has had better luck at the teaching hospitals. You could check also which hospitals are enrolled in clinical trials as they may be more up to date on the latest treatments.

P.s. you might get a better response if you visit crohns and colitis uk. Most ppl on this forum are in the US.

In the UK, one of the best hospitals for IBD is the St. Mark's in London. Not sure if this helps as you were asking for a North West location but I thought it was worth mentioning.
