Bleeding with Entiviyo

I started on Entiviyo last May after po medications did not work to heal my flare up. I am getting my first 8 week transfusion in August. I have noticed a remarkable improvement in my stools but am finding that there is still some blood in my formed stool and I have also noticed small amount s of blood when I wipe. Not sure if I need to go back to the doctor or just wait until my next infusion in a few weeks and see if it gets better. Has anyone been on Entiviyo and had a similar experience?

Entyvio got me 80% into remission before it stopped working. During the best times, I had formed, blood streaked stool. My frequency and bleeding were enough that I still needed to get iron IVs.

If you are just starting Entyvio as of May 2019 then you need to give it some time. I got the best improvements by infusion #3.

Been on Entyvio for over 2 years. You are still early in your infusion timeline to see an absence of symptoms yet. Especially with the 1st 8 week timeline, you could be noticing a slight uptick in symptoms. I believe I was in close to symptomatic remission by month 4. I would definitely mention what's happening to your dr., but expect him to say just wait and see what happens after your next infusion -- unless the symptoms escalate.

You could definitely try mesalamine suppositories or enemas, or steroid foams, to tide you over with lingering symptoms until the next infusion. Are you on any other meds besides Entyvio?
