I love this topic. Three years ago, I had a very severe case of uveitis (inflammation of the iris, in my left eye). I was literally blind on my left eye. Besides that, I had swollen legs, severe diarrhea, total disaster. I was diagnosed at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan, and they told me that my uveitis is coming from some another source, which they assumed is IBD related. After one round of steroid drops, I decided to stop the treatment and went to my chiro, who explained to me that problems with vagus nerve could be responsible for symptoms that I had. My chiropractor treated my vagus nerve (every second day I went for a treatment. I did so for the first two weeks and after my third apoitment, my sight was better. Today I have no problems, only slight damage from using steroid drops-more floaters). I truly believed he saved me from glaucoma and surgery. Also, not every chiro uses the same technic. The Gonstead method is one that recognizes the vagus nerve as very significant. I know this is not 100% related, just want to share my experience.
