Thank you, Rosie! I hope you're doing well. I miss seeing your posts. I finally took a shower after about 4 days and felt very lightheaded in there by the end of it. Now I'm back to lying down.

Sarah, I don't want to alarm you, but my wife had a heart attack after experiencing symptoms like yours. Turned out she had no blockages but she has an electrical issue with her heart. Don't let your doctors blow you off without checking your heart also. Hope you feel better soon.

They checked my heart at the ER (did an EKG). It was normal. Thank you.

I called and asked the ER for an antibiotic last night. They gave me Keflex. Never had this one before. I usually do very well with antibiotics. The bottle says may cause diarrhea, so we'll see... Barely have any dizziness today. Debating ordering more Humira after all this though. I'm pretty much over that med anyway. :/

Does it keep you in remission though? I was prescribed keflex once and I decided not to take it. Good luck

It hasn't done anything so far. I switched to weekly injections 2.5 weeks ago. Uceris is keeping me feeling fine, but I hate being on any amount of steroid now and want to get off of that soon. I'll find out when I go off Uceris again soon. I hope you're doing better!

I'm doing ok. I doubled up on probiotics. Back on azathioprine.

My GI called in tests for congenital heart disease. I am freaking out. No one called me or anything about these tests. I just saw them in the online portal. Just left a voicemail with his nurse. What is an Echo test? How do they do it? sad Seems like something I've heard on Grey's Anatomy... lol.

Echo test is ultrasound....no biggie at all 👍
Always scary when new perspectives of thought come up, but good your doc is thinking beyond. Yes, heart can cause your symptoms....some things don't show until one is older.

Thank you. I guess they're waiting for my insurance to approve it. I wish my GI could be my doctor for everything! I'm glad he ordered it.

Have you asked your GI if he would be your regular dr too? Sometimes they will. Depends on patient load of course. And how they feel their expertise is in other areas.

No, I haven't. I didn't know you could do that. He seems to know a lot. He told me more about my stress fracture than the sports medicine guy I saw at the Bone and Joint Clinic. Maybe I'll ask if that's possible. I think his patient load is pretty heavy though.

I guess congestive heart failure is a rare side effect of Humira so that's why he ordered the Echo test. Makes more sense now. The hospital today told me they couldn't schedule me yet because they were waiting for pre-approval from insurance. I called my insurance tonight and they told me they don't require pre-approval for tests like that. So, I have to call the hospital back tomorrow.

Thank you! I'm sure it will be normal. Got the Echo and another EKG today (I got one done at the ER but I guess my GI wanted to do another one just to double-check). These are the EKG results:

Normal sinus rhythm with sinus arrhythmia
Normal ECG
When compared with ECG of 15-FEB-2020 10:08,
Nonspecific T wave abnormality no longer evident in Inferior leads

I didn't get the Echo results back yet. It was kind of a cool test. Basically an ultrasound for your heart. They take a bunch of pictures for 30 minutes or so and you get to hear and see your heart on the monitor.

Yeah, they posted them to my online portal super fast. It looks like the Echo test was normal, too. The cardiologist's comments at the end say "this study was essentially normal."

I can't believe they didn't treat the UTI?! UTI's can have all sorts of symptoms, definitely something you don't want to leave untreated. (sorry, reading just first page.) Hope this is solved quickly. Are you anemic at all? I keep having missing heart beats, which I think is from being anemic.

I completely agree!! I have too many different posts going, lol (sorry), but in my other one, I mentioned that the ER case manager also could not believe the ER doctor didn't prescribe me antibiotics. I did request antibiotics though 2 days later, so I am treating it. This is the kind of crappy/weird medical care stuff that seems to often happen to me.

I'm finding it increasingly difficult to trust doctors. Not only are they not infallible, a lot of them are either lazy or useless or worse. I obtained copies of the files from my last GI when I switched last year and when I complained of pain all over (which I now know was caused by the Entyvio that HE prescribed) (and I may have teared up a bit because it was really awful after a fairly quick pred taper) he wrote in my file "DEPRESSED". I am not, nor was I depressed. He also refused to get my levels tested. "Oh, just wait until your next visit..." :-/

OMG! I would be so mad if they had done that to me and just dismissed my symptoms as depression. I'm always worried doctors will dismiss me like that too! I saw this new family doctor today and he barely spent any time with me. I won't be going back to him. They had me fill out a "depression screening questionnaire" that I guess they do once a year. Well, yeah, I'm going to have several depression symptoms since I've been dealing with chronic illness, including several new issues (osteoporosis, stress fracture, migraine, dizziness!), for months straight now! It's NORMAL to feel depressed/angry/frustrated when dealing with health issues. I hope you found a better doctor. He sounds like he majorly sucked.

I am lucky enough to live within driving distance of Johns Hopkins and have slowly switched all my doctors there. Some are still better than others but overall I think its a better solution. I like my new GI so far, they did not dismiss the pain, but instead referred me to rheumatology. Rheumatology has been great, although it takes forever to get an appointment. I had an ovarian mass spotted on an MRI for something else and they are dealing with that quickly. Had an appointment with a gynecologic oncologist within two days. (it seems to be benign but still getting it out). Sometimes I think my body hates me... ;-)

That's great you were able to find some better doctors! I hope the ovarian mass is okay. Oh, I totally agree with that feeling that my body hates me! OR our bodies REALLY love us and are SO over-protective that they're getting a bit confused and fighting themselves (with the UC anyway). It sounds nicer that way anyway... smile

It's not getting any better. I was just sitting in the waiting room at an eye doctor and I had to leave because all of a sudden the almost passing out feeling came back. It just keeps happening over and over. I've been sitting in my car for 30 min. now i have a 40 min drive back home. I didnt even get to see the doctor. I am starting to go nuts and become anxious and depressed over this. I havent done the Humira now for 2 weeks. When would it be out of my system? Everyone looks at me like Im crazy and I cant even find anything online like this.
