Humira vs 6mp

Been in an up and down flare for a year. I moved in September to New Jersey. My doctor who is older and office resembles something out of a bad 70’s movie, does not believe in blood tests and started me on a drug that I had no chance getting with insurance( xeljanz). Tapering from pred. At 12.5mg. He suggests Humira and I have been approved and have the starter kit.
My dad wanted me to see another doctor and offered to pay for supposedly a excellent GI in nyc. Went in on Monday and saw him. Probably his last appointment because of the virus. He spoke to me for 5 minutes not really listening or looking at my chart and suggested trying 6mp first. He thinks gi doctors are jumping to biologics too quickly for UC(says the Crohns is different) his thought is it’s been around for a long time and is cheep and can be very effective. He took a blood test and I am waiting for the results. I did get tested for TB and came back negative.
Worried about starting 6mp with covid 19
Humira seems safer on that front but still a concern.
If you had the choice what would you do? Pros and cons or either?

How bad is your flare?

6mp takes 3 months to work and requires routine blood draws as long as you're on it. It's a simple pill you swallow, generic and inexpensive.

Humira is a bit safer in this CORVID19 thing.

I'm on remicade (sister med to humira) and 6mp simultaneously.

I've only taken 6MP. Worked great for me.
