Bump…
Also curious about this, having read positive reviews of this supplement, mostly from years ago (now 2021). I looked at the ingredients of it currently, and I don’t even see Qing Dai on it. Am I mistaken?
I ordered some Qing Dai (Treasures of the East) granules, and am going to give those a shot. I’ve been flaring pretty much ever since I was diagnosed with UC in January 2018. If this Qing Dai stuff is what everyone says it is, I’ll be stoked.
I’ve taken mesalamine (with minimal effects), and have mostly been trying different natural things for the last few years. You name it, I’ve probably tried it. However, Qing Dai is something I’ve seen mentioned a few times and for some reason glossed over—however, I’m going to give it a shot now.
Read that its mechanism of action is that it helps build the mucosal lining, rather than targeting the immune system. So, stimulating mucous production seems pretty key for me, as I am mostly without any mucous at all. I think that my mucous lining is just wiped out, especially since I have like no Akkermansia bacteria on stool tests. I’m hoping this Qing Dai stuff can jump start my body into producing mucous and create a healthy lining in my colon…. That will truly be a miracle.
Anyway, just want to confirm with you all… Isatis Cooling is NOT Qing Dai anymore yeah? Reading reports that they have either lowered the amount or completely removed it. I’m personally not seeing it in the ingredients…
