Hi Guys, I appreciate this forum so much ! Thankyou all of you for coming out and helping others... it means a lot.. for some people it is a life saver.
I am having ulcerative colitis since last 3 years... and I am facing VAGINAL ITCHING since the same time. It is most in the opening part of vagina... specially in the begning 1 to 2 inches.
I have been to various doctors but it is of no use
Can somebody help me out... has it happened to somebody in the past ?
How to deal with it ? I can't focus, work, walker sit.... it is that severe. Any help is really valuable.

I'm so sorry - that is such an awful thing. I deal with that from time to time, and more recently on my journey than ever before. If severe enough, I treat it as a yeast infection - which may be what it is. I do the 3 day Monistat (or generic) treatment. I purchased a bigger tube of that particular fungal cream from Amazon and spot treat other times - generally after a shower. For whatever reason, toilet wipes seem to be part of the problem for me - don't know why. I try to avoid them. Using the cream has helped me so much and now I don't need it very often at all.
Hope that helps and if not, that you can get some help and relief!!

Hoo boy, I’ve had vaginal issues for years and it’s so disheartening, I’m sorry. I assume you’ve been tested for a yeast infection? If you’re on any immunosuppressant you could be more vulnerable to them. I’ve even had outbreaks of thrush in my mouth after steroid treatments.
Have they prescribed a steroid cream you can apply to help control the itching?
A few years ago I was having severe pain and bleeding after sex and was diagnosed with desquamative inflammatory vaginitis, which my GYN attributed to either my underlying autoimmune conditions that make me more inflame-y or the immunosuppressant drugs I take. This diagnosis was hard to get - I was on my 4th GYN, an infectious disease specialist (even though DIV is not an infection) who practiced in a specialized vaginal disorders clinic. The treatment was topical antibiotics and, when those didn’t work, steroid suppositories - the same ones used for rectal inflammation, just inserted into the vagina. Those worked.
Hope this helps and that you get some relief soon.
