Okay so I completed prepapocalypse and had my scope yesterday.
Second round of Colyte: I drank it between 3-5 pm instead of 5-7. That is the only change I made to the instructions. The second round was slightly easier to drink. I think I learned a few tweaks along the way maybe.
For one thing, the straw method doesn't work for me. I used the straw for the first round, but I can drink it down faster without it. It started working shortly after I finished the 2 litres and produced several bms, but didn't go as long or as violently as when I drink Citro Mag so I was a bit puzzled but not as panicked, knowing I had a third round to go.
Third round: Had to drink it between 6-8 am yesterday morning. Got up at 5 just so I had an hour to prepare myself. It was a big tougher than Round 2, but still better than Round 1, surprisingly enough. It started working mid-round! I maybe got through 1 litre when it began. At this point I was delighted to see it was mostly amber coloured liquid. So I knew I was getting there. But oddly, again, it stopped sooner than I am used to. It stopped quite soon after I finished drinking the second litre.
I had my scope done at about
2:45 pm. I was cleaned out. Guess that means I have to do this prepapocalypse from now on! But at least it works. I was beginning to think nothing would.
The bad news: I had no active inflammation but she saw "scarring" indicating I must have inflammation that comes and goes. She wants that under control so I have to up my Mezavant
and she is sending me for testing including CRP and Fecal calprotectin. I have to get that done this week (hope I can get my bowel movements back to normal soon enough. Haven't had a poop yet today) and then in 6 months. Interestingly, I was just reading another post where someone (was it iPoop?) mentioned that GIs don't like CRP on its own that much anymore, they also want to get Fecal calprotectin. Guess my GI is one of them.
