Inflectra delay

I had my three loading doses in July, and I was due for my 4th (8 weeks later) infusion on Friday Sept 18. I was on antibiotics for 17 days (until the 19) for amoebic colitis. My GI said on the phone that I could have the infusion on antibiotics- (side note: she was a replacement GI because my doctor is simply not available for anything at the moment) also I checked with the pharmacist. So I was ok to go. Unfortunately I told the infusion nurse that I was on antibiotics when I arrived at the clinic. Now I have to have written clearance from my doctor to have an infusion. The response rate from them is slow... weeks or months. I just needed to share this because at the end of the day sleep is important and I know this situation is creating stress that is not healthy. My story is so much longer than this but it’s a lot to write. I’ve been feeling tired and ill for years; I imagine I’ll get clearance in the next two weeks because the replacement GI is faster. I’m trying not to think about it. Every email I write or phone call I made brings me close to tears. My only learning from all of this is not to share info with the infusion clinic. I will be seeking a new GI, but being careful to make an informed decision.

Thank you!! I've decided that this is out of my control, and I've listed possible positives to delaying the infusion in my diary. I'm noticing that every time I consider what different professionals did over the last three weeks that lead me here, I get pissed off. So I sent emails and made a phone call yesterday, and I'm going to consider this out of my control and do nothing at least for today . I'm grateful for supportive places like this
