I had a very similar experience myself. After 2 years of Entyvio, and an almost remission like state it all went wrong. In the spring during lockdown I had a terrible gastric upset that had a very rapid onset. Following remote advice and re-hydration remedies didn't work. Ended up in the emergency department with severe dehydration after 40-50 BMs a day. I was on drips for a fortnight, rehydration, hydrocortisone, switched to insulin for type 2 diabetes and various minerals towards the end. Kidneys were protected and went from 5% function on admission to about 40% on discharge and now at about 85%. They couldn't find the agent that caused the incident but in August it seemed to have started again. This time stool samples were sent off within 3 days of it starting. It turned out that I had c.diff. Luckily I responded well to the vancomycin and it had cleared after 10 days. The specialists are now thinking that the UC flare that they diagnosed in the spring could have been pseudomembranous colitis triggered by c.diff. I am much better now. Good luck I'm sure they will fix it for you.
