I hope everyone is doing well. Hopefully these vaccines give us some light at the end of the tunnel .
My understanding from the beginning was that people with UC would be more at risk, especially for people taking certain medications. It made sense so I have been super careful plus I still live at home with numerous family members so I didnt want to take any risks.
In the last month, everyone else in my household but one got the Coronavirus. I also did not get the virus, I had numerous negative tests. Thankfully, everyone in my family has recovered and only had minor symptoms. Does anyone know why this might be? I guess I could have had the virus previously. I am hoping to give blood where I can get tested for antibodies.
Has this happened to anyone else? You know you came in contact with the virus and yet you didnt get it or didnt have any symptoms? I have tried to read some interesting material where they think biologics really dont create additional risk for UCers. I had a colonoscopy back in June and my doctor really didnt seem that concerned about additional risk for me given I am young and healthy in remission. So that would be a relieve, but just curious if anyone else has had this happen.
