Do you have gallstones? The gallbladder transports bile from the liver to the digestive organs when we eat. If stones develop there and clog that passage, it can cause a lot of discomfort. A couple female colleagues of mine in 50-60 yr age range have agreed to gallbladder removal because they felt so bad after eating ordinary meals; they didn't have any other digestive system problems. One of them told me that she even started feeling pain just from drinking plain water; that's when she decided on surgery. If you usually feel OK after meals then the "15% function" doesn't make much sense. (AM reflux could be coming from other issues.) / Old Hat (40 yrs with left-sided UC; in remission taking Colazal)
