Hello everyone! I haven’t been here in a long time. With this ridiculously crazy year we had I actually just realized I had my 10 year J pouch anniversary! I can’t believe it’s been 10 years already. I exhausted all the med options at the time and was getting worse so that’s why I had to have the surgery.

I hope there are some new meds out now. I try to keep up still on the latest since UC can be hereditary, I still worry my kids could get it someday.

Hi thank you for coming back to update. I probably have 50% odds of needing surgery at some point so I always appreciate hearing the surgery successes. (I'm doing ok on xeljanz for now)
There was a girl in another thread (title "remicade- when to stop" or something) who is afraid of surgery because she does horse riding, she might appreciate some input from an expert
