Traveling with enemas

Hi all. I will be traveling in a few days on an airplane and plan to take my mesalamine enemas with me. I’ve never traveled with them before. I’d like to put them in my carry on because I’ve had checked luggage lost before and don’t want to lose the enemas.

For those that have traveled with them, did TSA give you a hard time about them? Did you just let the agent know they were in your bag when going through security? Did you keep them in their original packaging? Any advice would be great.

Medicine is allowed in carry ons, keep it in original packaging within prescription label (your name, doctor's name, dose and frequency), put it in a clear plastic Ziploc bag, and tell your TSA screener you have liquid medicine before they scan/search your bag at the checkpoint.

I always put my enemas in my checked bag, and no issues whether traveling domestically or abroad.
