Had my first flare in like 8 years a couple years ago. Since then I haven’t gotten totally better. Solid BM 1-3 times a day with pretty consistent bleeding. some weeks that are better than others. Pain is there. It’s just been miserable.
Now I feel like I’m getting worse in a stair step way. My meds are allopurinol+mercaptopurine , mesalamine enemas
Humira 40mg pen every 2 weeks.
GI won’t let me go up on the Humira and I just don’t understand. I feel like it’s a maintainer dose I’m on, and that he’s just going to let me flare. Thoughts?
And also curious about
your Humira doses ty

You are on the normal dose, how long have you been on Humira? Ask your dr to check antibody levels. Some drs will agree to weekly shots, but it also depends on whether insurance will pay. Push for an antibody test.

Been on it for 2 years now. Antibody test would be a good idea.
I feel like I feel better the day/week after the shot. Then start getting a little worse the second week. I definitely take it early sometimes and they don't notice though....so that helps to have a little freedom. I know its not a good thing to do though. But I feel like they're going to let me flare so whatever.
