Qing Dai Drug Patent

I always like to see if Big Pharma is looking at natural things to concentrate them into drugs… I just found this one on Qing Dai (Indigo Naturalis). You can see that there are a couple specific components in Qing Dai that are likely to be the cause of the positive effects some people have here. In this patent, they talk about how to extract those components and concentrate them into a oral medication that opens at certain pH’s in the intestines to either hit the small intestine or colon or both… Always interesting to look for this to help judge whether or not a certain supplement is worth trying, in my opinion. Clearly pharma companies are taking note of Qing Dai.

Another one I’ve noticed is Andrographis… first thing that pops up when you google “andrographis patent” is a drug for UC.
