Hey all,
I'm in the middle of a pretty bad flare. Proctosigmoiditis with severe inflammation after a scope. It's proving to be one of my worst flares. I'm noticing what I think are blood clots on the toilet paper. It's hard to tell. But darkened blood (surrounded by the usual bright red blood) in clumps sporadically. Not huge clumps but enough to make me concerned. Is this common with really bad UC flares? I also wonder if it's bloodied mucous, hard to say. I just want to take it seriously if it's a warning sign of something. Basically I don't want to have some type of embolism and then die. No one wants that! I had a scope last week and he didn't mention anything about blood clots but I just wanted to check in.
Every day it's something new. Dealing with this is so tough. I started Stelara last week so hopefully relief is in my future.
Thanks,
D
