Hello everyone. I wish you all happiness and health, including my 2 younger sisters who are dealing with UC for a while. God bless you all.

In my family I have 2 sisters with crohns and I have UC. We all manage our conditions with medication. I was flaring for 3-4 years before finding a treatment that worked.
What I'm saying is it's not an easy life but we are all pretty functional.
With some of the things you've written I think it would really help you to discuss your worries with a good psychologist/psychotherapist. Writing this as someone who has had a lot of therapy for managing anxiety issues, and just talking through these kind of worries with someone who won't judge can be really helpful.

They are lucky to have someone who cares so much. No one in my family has ever really cared when I've been deathly ill. Hopefully they can find meds to get their symptoms under control.

People can live long and healthy lives with this disease once they find a treatment that works for them whether it's meds or alternatives or a combination. You can support your sisters, but obsessing and being pessimistic ("no future") is not helpful for them or you. Do some meditation, yoga, long walks, art/craft prohects -- anything to take your mind off this and relax -- and if they don't help talk to your doc to get something for your anxiety -- meds and/or therapy. Just reading your post was stressful. You can't continue to live like this.
