They have a sub cut injection for entyvio??? It’s not available in US. I would think they would have be be done more often as the dosage for entyvio is 300 cc? (not really sure of the actual measurement used but I do know it’s 300 whatever). It’s a small bag compared to a regular iv bag but still that’s a lot of liquid to put in a syringe.
I do a sub cut injection monthly for migraines. I have a severe needle phobia. But I do give myself these injections because they come in an epi pen and I don’t see the needle. These sting and sometimes bruise so I wouldn’t want to do it daily. If I had to inject an actual needle in my arm I couldn’t do it. My friend does self injections 3x/week for her MS and has an auto injector. She switches between arms and legs.
So I actually hope this method doesn’t come to the US. Not to mention the cost would then go to the prescription side of my medical plan and affordability would then become a huge factor for me.
Please update us when you find out as I’m quite curious!
I think the dosage would go up From 300mg/8 weeks vs 108mg/2weeks. Anyone on Medicare would see a big difference on cost going from Part B Coverage to Part D coverage.
