When I have uveitis, first my eyes feel dry. It's usually my left eye, so I'll just say "eye". It is drier than the other one now, even at the best of times. But it goes from feeling dry to feeling like I have grit in it or an eyelash or something but nothing is there. Sometimes I can actually see a bit of white inflammation along the edge of the iris when it is happening. If I don't catch it in an early stage and it gets bad, it becomes very painful especially to light and then it becomes SO red you can't miss it. The first time I had it, my family doctor misdiagnosed it as a regular infection, like "pink eye" but really it was uveitis. Requires steroid drops, not antibiotic drops. The good news is, relief is almost instant upon beginning drops and clears up quite quickly. But you have to get it treated ASAP.
If you've had dry eyes since Feb 2021 and it has not progressed to any of what I just wrote above, then you would not have uveitis. Does it hurt to ask the opthamologist since you are there anyway? No. I don't think you have it, but it does not hurt to say you have heard that people with UC are prone to uveitis.
