January 9th was 5 year anniversary for my 1st of 3 surgeries to have colon removed
Can't believe it's 5 years. Time flies as they say
No issues except incisional hernia. Having robotic hernia surgery next Thursday
Having the colon surgery has given me my life back
Grateful to God that I made the decision to have surgery after 32 yrs of UC.
Pray for everyone on there UC journey

Glad you updated us, 3TC. Good luck with hernia repair. NO to heavy lifting for 6 weeks at least!!!!! Definitely take good care post-op 'cause we know you're a hard worker. / Old Hat (40+ yrs with left-sided UC; in remission taking Colazal)

Congrats. I am just over a year,95+ colon left,and rectal stump.
Do not want to jink myself,but UC seem to be gone. Very strange.

I've got several hernias and need to get them repaired... After I lose a little weight. Your posts encourage me and help alleviate my fears.

Clo. Stone procedure is the 27th. Maybe just get the hospital penthouse and stay from one surgery to another?? Ha Ha. Dr inserting stent on this one

Lol.. I know... Right?

Oh Gosh.. that stent...... I hope your doctor uses the right size of one and that it doesn't cause you pain.

On the hernia... I hope they can repair it.

You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

When I've had stents before there were no pain issues. Even pulling it out was fine. Robotic surgery for hernia so should be fine

Mom. Dr decides which procedure for stones is best depending on size of stones
Sound waves have the chance of not breaking up stones small enough to pass? Sometimes patient needs a second lithotripsy if first one didn't break up stones small enough.
Stone I have now is big so better to put stent in and break it up with a laser
Not getting another hernia is up to me taking care of myself. Lifting?? Eating too much?? Both hernias were incisional hernias from surgery. I can help prevent both from coming back so I have to step up my game plan in taking care of myself. Thank you

Thinking if you and hoping you are well.

Did you have surgery? If so, how'd it go?

I'm still messing around with a 2 to 3 mm piece of the big stone that was lasered. I guess it got flushed back into my kidney or someplace he couldn't see it.... And now I am fighting the same battle as before.

I hope your surgery was successful..

Clo I had hernia surgery Jan 19
Stone procedure (stent)March 1st
Stones were Uric acid type so Dr gave me Potassium citrate to take 3x a day.
I've been peeing little stone just about every day since so it's working.
