My GI ordered a Calprotectin result for me in late December, right before Christmas, to establish a baseline for my inflammation. I do not recall having one done in the 12 years since my UC diagnosis (it's possible I had one done at the time I was diagnosed back in 2009, but I don't have record anymore).
My result was 577 H. My GI doc said it indicated I was not in remission (which I already knew), but how do I interpret that? I hear they can go all the way up to 3000, so would 577 be "low" inflammation? I expected to be able to interpret degree of inflammation. I have mild to moderate, stubborn proctitis now.
Thank you,
