Amazing how excited I can get about
the best poop I've had in months. I wanted to tell my husband! No. Write to my bf (who keeps asking me "Are you better yet?" Sigh.) ? No. Post on my family message board "I just had a big solid poop!!" ? Guess not.
That leaves my friends here. I know you will understand!
I am trying not to get too excited. Tomorrow I could be back to bloody mush. But for the last month I've been having the gradual switch over from "bad day-bad day-bad day" to "good day-bad day" that marks (in my experience) healing from a flare. I've occasionally had ribbon-like solid stool, and then chunks of narrow stool....
And today for the first time I just had a good size almost normal stool! No abdominal cramping preceding it. The only blood was on the toilet paper, nothing in the toilet, nothing on the stool.
I feel like I won the lottery.

I'm so happy for you!!!! I so understand what you're feeling. I'm still in the "it's all just mush" phase. The day I have a solid BM again I will be so happy.

hahaha ... we can all relate. One time I told my doc that the day before I had a perfect poop and I felt like taking a pic of it. He looked at me like I was so bizarre that I hastened to add that I didn't. I think he was afraid I was going to whip out my phone to show him lol.
Hope that was the start of many more, Serenity.

Did you happen to eat anything different the day or two before your trophy poop?
Hoping another will be presented soon. Of course, not every day is perfection...you'll run out of room to put your trophies π

Haha! Now I'm picturing a mantle filled with trophies and having to explain to someone what they are all for...
(And no, I didn't eat anything different. I don't know why the output is different. Sigh).

That's great to hear! Did your doctor ever get back to you with any recommendations for a treatment plan or did you end up changing any meds?

Hi Sara, I am not expecting my GI to get back to me. What I need to do is see what her report from the colonoscopy said. I am hopeful it will provide me with some clues. Who knows! I have to get the report from my family doctor (which is b.s. of a whole other variety, but don't get me started). My appt with her is not until the end of this month.
