I posted about my blood test three months ago when my Vit B12 came back high (728, where normal is between 153-655), and my ALT was high (65, where normal is <36).
I had called my doctor in a panic but she was not too concerned and just told me to retest in 3 months. That was yesterday. My new results show:
Vit B12 is now at 455 (I stopped taking the supplement containing a lot of B12)
and
ALT is at 29 (not sure if this had any impact but I tried to do a few things like increasing dietary fibre after I had reduced it to help with my flare, and cut down on the massive amt of sugar I had been recently eating).
So this was a huge relief!!
HOWEVER, there is now something new for me to stress over. Two weeks ago I did a routine test for my GI and my Platelet Count is low (102, whereas normal is 150-400). Yesterday's test came in at 105. But there was a result for something I've never seen before. It is "Platelet Morphology" and says:
"The platelet count may be higher than quoted due to the presence of platelet aggregates."
I googled that, of course, and am not really sure how to feel about it. But this time I will not panic. I will wait to see if either doctor contacts me, and otherwise will see what the next blood test (in 3 months) says.
