Thank you for taking the time to reply. I was told that I now have both. I was put on Asacol when i was first diagnosed in 2007 after a colonoscopy. I had a resection at the terminal ileum in 2014 for a severe stricture due to my Crohn's. and after resection was put on Remicade until that now longer worked. Was then placed on Entocort. about 3 years ago I started to have intermittent bleeding which i was treated with prednisone and it would go away for months at a time. I had a colonoscopy last year and was told all he saw was an ulcer and some mild inflammation. I think it may have been done to soon after a round of prednisone so things may have healed up. Then in July of this year the bleeding started and got really bad along with thinner stools, pain, constant urge to defecate and push more which led to anywhere from 7+ trips a day to the bathroom. Called and asked doctor if we could do a sigmoidoscopy right away since my symptoms were the worst ever. A week later, he found a great deal of inflammation in both the descending colon and the rectum as well as multiple ulcers. Was put on high dose of prednisone for 4 weeks and then started Entyvio.
