Wish me luck. Wife TAVR on Tuesday

Very severe aortic stenosis. Last month had 2 cardiac stents put in 90% blockage. My worry stroke,blood clots,excess bleeding, Right now asymptomatic so that's good,all that Zumba with the 30 year olds,and 10K steps a day. TAVR easier than open heart if all goes well,just twilight sleep.

Been a fun year,Jan,goes to periodontist for deep cleaning,gets double ear infection. So,emergency care visit,
11 hours in ER,IV antibiotics,2 ENT visits. 5 Antibiotics later, lost hearing in both ears. 5K worth of hearing aids. Once inner ear cells are killed,end of story. LOL

Very sorry to hear that your wife has so much trouble, Mike. You had posted in the past that she wanted to take up pickle ball after breaking both wrists while ice skating. Definitely keep us updated as your time permits. Also, good luck with Windows 11 installation. (Some Win 10 features may no longer be available in 11.) / Old Hat (40+ yrs with left-sided UC; in remission taking Colazal)

Thanks for the update! Glad to hear the procedure went well and it is expected she will be able to go home tomorrow.

Normal ejection fraction between 50-70%. So she is real good. All that Zumba with the 30 year olds. LOL

Well she had no symptoms that alarm doctors,such as shortness of breath,or leg swelling. I know she had seemed to get more tired,over the past year,but that is about it. Otherwise asymptomatic. Of course there were medical symptoms,heart murmur, not good echo/cat scan results confirmed very severe aortic stenosis. Been watching since 2012, now that valve area had closed down a lot so it was time. With very sever classification they said could had heart attack at any time. One doc commented it was the Zumba and 10K steps/day kept here heart strong,at her age. She has bruises everywhere from the blood thinners and all the puncture wounds, but a lot better than splitting your chest open.
