Sorry to hear about your problem but many of us have been there and are there with you now. I have found out for me that staying away from complex carbs. seems to help alot. I am able to absorb the food, limit the urgency and maintain my weight.
For me, I have added many cooked veggies (which alot of people do not agree with), chicken, lean meat, and only certain types of bread (semolina is a good one in moderation) I use low carb. pasta and mix in garlic and spinich... binds me up a bit.
I stay away from potatoes, (any type) breads (except a few) and caffiene, carbonated liquids with the exception of selzter, (in moderation) while I flare. This seems to bounce me back quick.
very frustrating condition because everyone is different. I used Ensure too but I realized it was not doing the trick. I stay away from any type of rice as it irritates my system and causes urgency and pain unless I am in remission. If you want rice, maybe try risotto, low carb. with some spinich mixed in.
